Ten different schools from Las Piñas, Muntinlupa and Parañaque participated in the first Oxford-Oregon Debate Tournament last October 6, 2018 at the St. Bernadette College of Alabang. The schools are St. Bernadette College of Alabang, Our Lady of Pillar Montessori Center, Manresa School, Christ the King of Alabang, St. Andrew School of Parañaque, San Lorenzo School, Colegio de Nuestra Señora De Guadalupe, Miraculous Medal School, St. Paul College of Parañaque and Lyceum of the Alabang.
The tournament lasted from 8am to 6pm which is composed of 5 rounds. The representatives from Lyceum of Alabang are Angel Jullianne Arevalo, Angelo Miguel Nieves, Jezza Mae Lachica Li, Jhoriel Reyes, John Jeuel Fornea, Kate Jajalla Pujante, Rhandel Ramirez Lazo, and Vanessa Reyes alongside their coaches, Mr. Jabez Verba and Ms. Erica Espinosa. They are divided into two teams and both teams have won 4 times. They only lose 1 time. They are able to be part of the octo-finalists.
3 teams from St. Paul have won 5 times without any loses. So, they are able to be part of the semifinals with one team from St. Andrew. At the end of the day, St. Paul College of Parañaque wins the tournament.
