They're partners in life,
With different personas.
Growing up together,
And suddenly—loving each other.
The love that's unusual.
She lives a reckless and independent life.
He's unwavering and serene.
He nods approvingly whenever she's nearby.
Yet he continues to adore her,
Especially for the little deed.
She's the horizon.
He's the globe.
She never stops conquering greater heights.
Yet he continues to draw her downward—like inertia.
Presuming her soul is on the pavement.
He grows to be her infinite;
She’s taking on his serenity.
