Theme: Loving was eternally fulfilling but it bore pain and sacrifices.

Synopsis: How thrilling would it be if fate would just allow us to be with our soulmates? The time was perfect, but both of you weren't. When both of you perfectly fit, the timing wasn't.

-----------------------

She held my waist tightly, looking intently into my eyes as if she was under a love spell. I got lost in her enchanting gaze and smile. Whispering sweet words in each other's ears every time the steps pulled us closer to do so. The soft music echoed loudly into the walls and halls of the empty ballroom. The shine of the moon had a bright light that illuminated the whole place, thus creating the beautiful moving shadows which seemed like a dream.

Our silk dresses flowed as we turned, skipped, and jumped in the air. The sound our feet made on the floor became one with the music. The violins created these soft, graceful, and intricate melodies. The piano had a beautiful, dramatic notes. It suited us perfectly. The night birds were looking in the tall window witnessing an unusual phenomenon underneath them. Her dance was encaptivating—dazzling, should I say. I could feel the moves were perfect, the eyes with undying passionate affection, and the heart full of emotions.

She bewitched me. She stole my heart and my soul. Now, who was really under a spell?

As the music passes the climax, she slowly released the grip on my waist and cupped my cheek.

"Aren't we going to stop?" she asked.

"Do you want us to?" I asked her back, hoping she would give the same answer I had in my head.

"We've been dancing for hours. Do you?"

"You know I would dance with you till my feet bled," I uttered as I stared at her.

"Silly," she chuckled. "Then you can't dance with me anymore."

"Then I'd rather die. Dancing with you will be the last thing I'd do in this world." I looked at her, savouring this moment. I had a thought—it'd be perfect if we were a man and a woman. Our love would be easier—more acceptable. It was unfortunate how fate let us meet at this time; so cruel to make us undeniably dangerous to each other.

Who we were...where we came from...the palace walls in between could end us.

I wish we could go out and allow every human to witness us profess our love for each other. For now, we could only love through the shadows.
