LITERARY: "Still Enchanted" by Fatima Rigel Ong

Crescent moons pass by

Still here I am with your song in my guitar

Everything you did is still in my memory

Your playful antics that make me laugh

With your name echoing in my head

And your smile that haunts me till morning

You always give me this warm and surreal feeling

I close my eyes and picture you and I

Watching sunset as you caress my cheeks

Keeping me in your arms

Silly hopeful dreams

If the walls of my room can talk

It’ll probably say how many times I’ve written your name in air

If you’ll only read my poems

You’ll see your name in it

As Taylor’s song ‘Enchanted’ plays in the background

I rest my head on my desk

With my phone illuminating my room

I heave a sigh while staring at your picture

Wondering if you even have an idea

How crazy you make my heart beat

I’m so in love with you it makes me cry

You paint my desires

You’re the reason I’m in love with the moonlight

I wanna scream your name so bad

And not being able to, suffocates me

There is no finality, just uncertainty

So until I learn how to stop holding back

It may be selfish to ask or even wish, I still will

Please don’t have somebody waiting on you

And don’t be in love with someone else

Let this not be the end of our story.
