Andrea Meza of Mexico wins the 2020 Miss Universe crown. The 69th Miss Universe was held at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida on May 17, 2021.
Andrea Meza is 28 years old and a Software Engineer. She becomes the 3rd Mexican Woman to win the Miss Universe Pageant. She wins the crown among the 73 other beauty queens around the world. Andrea was crowned by the 2019 Miss Universe Winner Zozibino Tunzi of South Africa.
Here is Miss Mexico's winning answer for the final Q&A, "I believe there's not a perfect way to handle this harsh situation such as COVID-19. However, I believe that what I would have done was create a lockdown even before everything was that big because we lost so many lives and we cannot afford that. We have to take care of our people. That's why I would have taken care of them since the beggining."
Miss Philippines Rabiya Mateo makes it to the Top 21 of the said pageant.
