Theme: Betrayal
An eye, given for sight;
I’ve seen mysteries
Unfolded right before my eyes.
Questions that mimic the truth—
of what was actually meant.
In the meadows where you left me,
Anger with a sorrowful heart filled with regret,
Became a threat of what is soon to expect.
Everywhere I go, silence mistreats me;
There is revenge waiting for me on the other side.
Haven’t I suffered enough?
The tournaments of these thoughts
Bickering as I lay here with contempt.
Each night is a repeating cycle—
In which my mind is wired.
Complete darkness in the wilderness
No light shone—no friends to call home.
Time after time, it never stops.
She plots maliciously for me to step down;
On hypocrisy, she wears the crown.
A serpent murdered me in my sleep;
Revealed to me that:
Beliefs can be conned in your dreams.
The foundation I’ve built, gone and wasted,
From half-truths, where no one listened.
