Theme: Gratefulness

You have a basic, yet profound, significance,

Resembling an old poem.

In the middle of my sorrow,

You resemble a shining star.

Reminiscent of a tiny drop of moisture

On parched earth.

It seems to be a subject

That each verse attempts to avoid tackling.

Looks like something gleaming,

In the twilight shadows.

It serves as a beacon of hope;

For the forfeited, much like a lamppost.

There's no intent—

To stop the harmony that soothes the dark hours,

That appears as weeping

Or the pace of the melody that fills my dawn.

You're at the root of each sight,

Yet I seldom ever say this.

I'm grateful from the bottom of my soul;

For all the dawn and midnight that'll come and go.
