Recognized for his releases “Bawat Piyesa” and” Talinhaga, “Indie solo singer-songwriter TONEEJAY has gone through various phases as a musician. Once a trip-hop artist into entry of his solo career of the album “Beginning/End” and latter indie folk “Kasama Kita,” TONEEJAY’s recent music is vastly different.
Following TONEEJAY’s energetic track “Parang Magic.” The latest single “711” is a 3 minute and 42 seconds Indie pop song released on September 8, 2023.
“711” delves with the subject of hope and optimism of creating a promising future with a loved one. Filled with playful lyricism that indulge in the beauty of mundane life. Accompanied with a pop tuneful instrumental, the track offers an acoustic upbeat production that is mainly devoid of the distortion pedal from “Parang Magic.”
Displaying a bare tight-fitting instrumental with a warm melody that is in the company of jolly and frisky lines in its verses. The message can resonate with any listener very well, as it can apply not only to another individual but one’s self.
The composition doesn’t necessarily break new ground in its genre, using a formula that has been heard before. While the transition of sound proved the artist’s sign of growth, he is yet to lay further groundwork from his temporary departure from his former works that could be seen in an album.
Overall, “711” is worth a listen and an addition to your playlists, it is an undeniably enjoyable simple tune. The track will find its way to listeners who are in a state of ambitious thoughts of their forthcoming, looking for relatable lyrics with a feel-good catchy melody.
