π—‘π—˜π—ͺ𝗦: “GAS emerge victorious over Spelling Quiz Bee; HUMSS takes Bible Quiz Bee gold” by Justin De Guia

Representatives from the General Academic Strand (GAS) grabbed the championship in the Spelling Quiz Bee competition against different strands; meanwhile, the Humanities and Social Science (HUMSS) Strand conquered and overcame opposing strands, taking the champion's title in the Bible Quiz Bee, in the 20th Founding Anniversary Event of Lyceum of Alabang, held at the Audio Visual Room (AVR) on October 24.

During the Bible Quiz Bee, the Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) Strand took the first place, with the team made by Allaine Naomi Tumang, Myca Angela Tapan, and Darlene Shane Fernandez, with a leading score of 91 points.

One of the representatives from HUMSS, Tapan, shared her insights about winning the Bible Quiz Bee during an interview, “I'm just happy to be one of the representative for our strand, Humanities and Social Sciences, and joining on the Bible Quiz Bee is a wonderful experience for me… so we can show our knowledge about the bible po. I am also grateful for the help of our coach before and after the quiz bee for motivating us,” She entailed.

“During the competition, we're just enjoying the moment lang po [with] and no pressure, and with the help of each other in answering the questions with the easy, average and difficult round, we [got] to achieve the 1st place po… to claim the champion title with my teammates is an honor for us to represent our strand… I'm so glad to be part of this event,” she added.

Another representative from HUMSS, Darlene Shane Fernandez, was asked how she felt about winning the Quiz Bee, “Masaya pero at the same time, nagulat. Because we didn't expect to win since 'yung ICT [ang] lamang ng points sa amin,”

On the other hand, the Information and Communication Technology (ICT), grabbed second place with a score of 79 points, represented by Justine Burac, Gee Dee Arciaga, and Antonio Bautista. Lastly, the third place went to Accountancy and Business Management (ABM), with a score of 71 points. Their representatives are Aaliyah Zoe Alacar, Michael Golriane, and Gayle Carandang.

Moreover, in the Spelling Quiz Bee, the General Academic Strand (GAS), with an overall score of 45 points, prevailed and won first place; they were represented by Venice Velasco and Duhbe Marquez.

Coming from the HUMSS with remarkable dedication, they took second place with a score of 42 points. Lastly, the Accountancy and Business Management (ABM) Strand finished in third place with a total of 41 points.
