Time flies by so fast that, in the blink of an eye, we are now suddenly in the middle of January.

As we traverse the fast-paced realms of 2024, many new things come to us so quickly that it may become hard for us to process all the information at once.

Worry not! To help you keep up, here are some of them compiled just for you. Relax yourself and join us as we slowly meet and process them one-by-one.

𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗜𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗗𝗥𝗔𝗚𝗢𝗡 🐲

Breathing fire and soaring high, the Dragon is turning the heat in 2024!

This creature may be infamous for being aggressive, but in traditional Chinese culture, it is known to be a symbol of “power, nobleness, honor, luck, and success” [1].

People who are born in the Year of the Dragon are thought to become great leaders who possess great enthusiasm and confidence and are not afraid to face challenges or risks [2].

The upcoming year will specifically feature the Wood Dragon, which was last experienced in 1964 and will be experienced again in 2084.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗢𝗥 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥 𝗜𝗦 𝗣𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗛 𝗙𝗨𝗭𝗭 

If you’re feeling a bit fuzzy and peachy lately, that’s because of the nearing embrace of 2024’s color!

The color was announced by Pantone, a company regarded as the world's preeminent expert on color in a variety of industries that has been known for declaring the "Color of the Year" each year since 1999 [3].

The company describes Peach Fuzz as a hue that goes between the ranges of pink and orange and conveys an appeal of softness [4]. They also highlight it as a warm, cozy shade that symbolizes kindness, tenderness, caring, community, and collaboration, promoting togetherness and a sense of sanctuary [5].

𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥 𝗜𝗦 𝗔 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗣 𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥 

This means that 2024 is gonna be a day longer with us than a typical calendar year. 

The Earth actually orbits the Sun for 365 days and 6 hours [6]. Most years round the days to 365, but to maintain the balance with the solar years, we add one more day to the calendar every four years to make up the remaining 6 hours that are set aside each year [7].

That extra day is then added to the usual 28 days that the month of February has, making 2024 a year with 366 days!

𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗜𝗦 𝗔 𝗟𝗨𝗖𝗞𝗬 𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗟𝗘 🍍

This fruit may be spiky, but it sure is lucky!

This is according to Famous Feng Shui Master Hanz Cua. He revealed on December 26, 2023, that the luckiest fruit for welcoming 2024 is the Pineapple, which means “wealth will come” in Chinese [8].

Better prepare those pineapples to attract fortune and get away from troubles.

𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗜𝗦 𝗔 𝗟𝗨𝗖𝗞𝗬 𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗟𝗗 𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗡 

According to Feng Shui, the primary lucky color of the year is Emerald Green [9]. 

The color symbolizes “growth, rebirth, and harmony with nature, aligning well with the Year of the Wood Dragon in Chinese Zodiac” [10].

So, this year, in choosing the flags, make sure to go with the green in order to have a prosperous life. 🍀
