Theme: The inability to move on

A fragment of you stayed after you left,

and the unbearable pain is still inside my chest.

As if you intentionally broke me into a million pieces,

like you purposely left me to be in this mess.

I lent my heart out for you to play with,

all aware of the possible consequences,

but could you blame a girl— a wishful thinker?

If loving you was a crime, then I must be a sinner.

It wasn't a very smart move for me to make,

and I'm well aware of my repetitive mistakes.

Truly, love can make one do questionable things,

but if it is for you then all the pain is worth it.

Now, I'm stuck with a void in my soul,

for you were the foundation of my walls,

but now that you're gone, I feel vulnerable,

how can I give love if you took it all?

Yet, no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to hate you.

I still crave for your love despite the pain I went through.

now I finally understand how stupid one can be,

out of all the advice I received, I still can't set you free.

It terrifies me to think if what we had was a real thing.

Isn't it ironic that I'm still afraid of the pain it will bring?

Go and shame on me for loving you way too much,

But don't think you'll find someone who'll give you enough.
