She's been drowning
by her own tears.
A girl who's tired of everything,
wants to hide and cover her ears.
She went through this year
to become quieter than ever.
She's a great pretender,
But she smiled with a weight on her shoulder.
Stumbling through the darkness
Where she wants to escape from emptiness.
For all the times she cried,
She's sorry for being the way she is sometimes.
Despite how daunting her life is,
She still validates what she feels.
She disregards the waves inside her chest,
Because at the end of the day, she will rest.
