Lyceum of Alabang's Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) strand student, Leila Ione Cueto, seized the 2nd place at the Filipino Essay Writing Contest of the UP Agricultural and Applied Economics Circle (UPAAEC)’s AgriKonomiya; and partook under the Agricultural Resolutions Pitch Competition as well, represented by Winnie Roxy Esmores, Heart Magbanua and Nicole Paula Dado, on the on March 23 held at the University of the Philippines - Los Baños (UPLB).

Cueto remarkably won with her essay “Inklusibong Pamamaraan: Susi ng Bayan," tackling the issue of land conservation strategies, namely land sharing and sparing.

“To be honest, [it was] super unexpected, it was nice to get the chance to be educated about the agricultural state of our country and realize na we could do so much better if we just know our resources and capabilities more. The whole experience made me see how agriculture and economics can bring people together," Cueto stated in an interview with The Spiracle.

Meanwhile, the research competition participants: Esmores, Magbanua, and Dado, with their knowledge skills, contended for the research competition under the topic "Promoting Sustainable yet Efficient Agriculture through Fortifying Agricultural Policy."

Seminars and culminating activity, "Agriventure Trail: Harvesting Knowledge for Aspiring AgriEconomists," were also held at the NCAS Auditorium and UPLB Makiling Botanic Gardens during programs of the event.
