Subject: Doubts in aspect of relationship

"Do you only love me because you have to?"

In the middle of the night, the thoughts snap out of my mouth.

Was it obligation, or something deeper? Memories of our laughter and quiet moments flash back to me.

“I love you because—”. His gaze holds a universe of understanding, easing the weight of my fears and doubts.

I held my breath, unsure if he felt the same uncertainty.

Did he love me to fill a void or because I challenged him?

He stared at my face, and the silence dominated between us.

“I love you because I choose to. Every day, i love you.”

Relief washed over me. Then I realized love wasn’t just a obligation; it was a choice. With him, every heartbeat reassures me that I am exactly where I belong. Together, we'll create a sanctuary where laughter echoes and dreams will take flight. And in that moment, I know to myself I wanted to keep choosing him, no matter what.
