Iconic K-pop group SEVENTEEN announced another unit known as "HxW" on February 18, composed of Hoshi and Woozi, who debuted with their first single extended play ‘BEAM’ on March 10.
PLEDIS Entertainmentʼs boy group posted HxW’s concept teaser in their official social media accounts on 11pm PhST, which is exactly midnight of February 19 in South Korea.
According to the promotion scheduler SEVENTEEN posted, the album’s track list, consisting of three songs, was revealed on February 28, while the trailer was already released on March 3.
Meanwhile, their official music video teasers 1 and 2 were put out in two consecutive days, March 8 and 9 respectively.
On the same day of their EP’s release, a music video of BEAM's second track and lead single titled ‘96ers’ was released on YouTube.
The music video displayed the artistry and bold creativity the duo held, the ambition and confidence they possessed over the years of their entertainment career presented in their lyrics.
The fans have been looking forward to the result of this duo’s combination ever since their explosive musical chemistry in their B-side track ‘Bring It’ in SEVENTEENʼs second studio album, ‘TEEN, AGE’ in 2017.
Album pre-orders are already available since February 18. Additional information can be obtained in Weverse, an official fan community site.
HxW will be their third unit after BSS and JxW.
SEVENTEEN Hoshi is the Performance Unit leader of the group, while SEVENTEEN Woozi is the Vocal Unit leader, making fans anticipate and have high expectations for the upcoming debut.
