Theme: Self Forgiveness and Healing
A Quiet Reckoning
Within the corridors of my restless mind,
Guilt held tight its unyielding grip—
Each fault a shadow etched beneath my skin,
A silent ache that dimmed my light.
Yet now I breathe—slow, deliberate—
And loosen chains forged from harsh regret.
I reach to soothe the wounds self-inflicted,
To shelter the fragile soul beneath the scars.
I am no flawless flame, no beacon bright,
A mere flicker in the vast unfolding night.
Still worthy of mercies—soft and sure—
haven where my heart may heal and grow.
Forgiveness blooms, delicate but bold—
A rose that dares to rise amid the cold.
From that tender bloom, redemption stirs,
Rooted deep in grace’s gentle earth.
So let the past dissolve like morning mist,
While hope unfurls within my beating chest.
A humble song of kindness and true rest—
Where I stand whole, at home, and free at last.
