Tumangging sagutin ni Bise Presidente Sara Duterte ang mga tanong ng House Appropriations Committee tungkol sa paggasta ng confidential funds ng Office of the Vice President (OVP), kabilang ang ₱73 milyong transaksyon na inutos ng Commission on Audit (COA) na suriin, upang hindi maibunyag ang depensa ng kanyang grupo sa posibleng impeachment trial na itinala na sa Senado noong Setyembre 16, 2025.

Tinukoy ni ACT Teachers party-list Representative Antonio Tinio ang notice of disallowance ng COA at inusisa kung paano naipamahagi ang mga pondo noong Disyembre 2022, partikular sa mabilis na liquidation ng confidential funds.

Ayon kay Tinio, isinumite ng OVP ang 2,670 accomplishment reports para sa liquidation ng P500 milyong confidential funds, at 1,322 sa 1,992 pangalan sa acknowledgement receipts na isinampa sa Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) ay walang tala ng kapanganakan, kabilang ang mga pangalang Mary Grace Piattos, Fernando Tempura, at Chel Diokno.

Tinanong din niya kung maipapaliwanag ng Bise Presidente kung bakit naisumite ang mga accomplishment reports at bakit walang sapat na dokumento bilang suporta sa mga ito.

Binigyang diin naman ni Duterte na hindi niya maaaring talakayin ang mga detalye ng paggasta ng pondo dahil bahagi ito ng depensa sa impeachment trial.

Ayon sa kaniya, “I cannot discuss defense strategy. Number three, I cannot discuss intelligence operations and cannot explain how intelligence operations are done without compromising national security.”

Ipinahayag din niya na kahit naitala na sa archive ang kasalukuyang impeachment attempt, inaasahan niya ang panibagong reklamo bago ang Pebrero 2026 at posibleng umabot hanggang 2028 bago ang halalan sa pagkapangulo niya.

"Yes. Because if that does not prosper within 2025, I’m sure they will file in 2026, they will file in 2027, or in 2028 right before the presidential elections. So, this is all about the presidential elections of 2028," ani Duterte.

Ayon sa ulat mula sa COA at sa mga mambabatas, iniimbestigahan ang paggamit ng confidential funds ng OVP, kabilang ang mga pangalan sa acknowledgement receipts na walang tala sa PSA, upang matiyak na naipapamahagi ang pondo ayon sa batas at para sa tamang benepisyaryo.
