Subject: Being the one who causes the chaos.

I look upon a shattered heart,

not knowing it was I prying them apart.

As I walked through days in calm disguise,

unaware of their piled-up cries.

I thought I was saving them,

but it was I who wrecked them.

I wore a presence I thought was a cure,

Yet I was the one who gently broke their heart.

I spoke in calm, or so I thought,

yet every word I said weighed a ton.

I was the storm I hated, but wore,

a broken soul, searching for more.

I looked and prepared for a hazard zone,

not knowing I was the danger I'd been preparing for.

I tried to fix and end it once and for all,

even though I was breaking all night long.

The pain I caused is long overdue,

because I didn't see the clues.

As I didn't think, and just rushed through,

The storm I never foresaw was me.
