Violet Team defeated Red Team in straight sets, 25-19, 25-18, to secure the Boys’ Volleyball championship at the Small Gym on October 12.

Violet took control early in both sets, with Karl Ryan Casiguran leading the attack while Jeremy Sebastian Cunanan and Amiel Douey Gellido each recorded three service aces.

Red remained within striking distance but struggled to sustain its runs against Violet’s defense.
Violet pulled away in the first set after reaching a 20-15 lead.

Red attempted to cut the deficit, but Violet closed the set at 25-19 after a long rally at 24-19.
The second set followed a similar pattern as Violet built an early 8-2 advantage.

Red later narrowed the gap, but Violet maintained its lead and reached 24-18 before securing the final point for a 25-18 finish.

Casiguran said the team’s communication and composure helped them maintain their advantage, especially when Red began to catch up.

“We just focused on communicating with each other and staying composed, especially when Red started catching up. We knew every point mattered, so we kept pushing until the end,” Casiguran said.

The 2-0 victory secured Violet the Boys’ Volleyball championship title, while Red finished as the runner-up.
