According to Naver News, Belangel is set to join the Daegu KOGAS Pegasus, making him the first Filipino player to sign with the Korean Basketball League.
According to the report, the draft deal between Belangel and the Korean club has been finalized. With an official announcement to be expected in the following days.
Naver reported a team official saying, "I requested the official contract form in English from KBL, and we plan to finish writing the deal as soon as we receive it."
Belangel is no stranger to Korean fans, having hit the game-winning triple against their national team in June last year during the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup qualifications in Clark, Pampanga.
The KOGAS official also added that if he will join their team, Belangel can also bring his family to Korea.
