As Lyceum of Alabang celebrates its 15th Crystal Year: Moving Towards Excellence, LOA holds its Academic Competitions for Senior High School on October 10, 2018 at the Audio-Visual Room.
The opening ceremony starts at exactly 8:30 am and are headed by Ms. Charito F. Cano and Rev. Dr. Gregorio R. CariΓ±o, Jr. The Bible Quiz Bee panelists are Engineer Frederick F. Eribaz, Chairman of the Academic Competition, Engineer Teresita L. Viterbo, and Rev. Dr. CariΓ±o. One of the policies stated in the mechanics made a commotion regarding the strict rule on the wearing a uniform by the participants. The rule is not followed by the HUMMS strand wherein participants wear their “Strand Shirt”. Ms. Cano and Mr. Eribal both agreed not to allow the students to participate anymore, stating that it is an “Unauthorized Uniform” by the school.
The Champion for the Bible Quiz Bee is the HUMSS, garnering a total of 51 points. They are followed by ABM in 1st place and GAS in 2nd place.
The Science Quiz Bee starts at exactly 10:15 am and is hosted by Ms. Frencee Anne Rivera, the Science Department Head. The panelists are Engineer Frederick F. Eribal, Ms. Charito F. Cano, and Mrs. Miguela A. Arcega. Dominated by ABM in the 1st place marking a total of 68 points, followed by STEM in 2nd place, and GAS in 3rd place.
