LITERARY: "A Cry of A Broken Stereo" by Fatima Rigel Ong

Why do you always want me locked in your cage?

I once cried for freedom but I got burned by your rage

You shelter me from who?

From the people you said was bad for me, or from the likes of you?

You attempt to control my every move, even my breathing

Do you know that you've also made a monster, responsible for my death?

You think I'm hiding something?

How could I? When you know everything

You pass the blame on other people that triggered me to change.

But have you asked yourself how this monster and I got engaged?

You silence me for wanting to be me

That's where we do not agree

Keep me by your side with shackles around my feet and hand

And see how I will destroy this castle of yours and set fires on this land.
