On October 18, 2020, the country's biggest reality show announces it's comeback for the ninth season during the show "ASAP Natin To". The announcement also includes how would the aspiring housemates could join the said reality show.
This year's opening of PBB will be the ninth season and it will be called "PBB Connect". The PBB Connect can be watched in Kumu App instead of television. It is because the network on which it was broadcast before is currently in shutdown.
According to the announcement, Big Brother or also know as "Kuya" said in ASAP Natin To that the audition are open for people from 16-35 years old. To join the audition, aspiring housemates must download the Kumu app and create an account where they can upload their one-minute audition video. Before publishing the audition video, the auditionees must indicate their name, age and the place where they live and why they are an interesting housemate for Big Brother.
The aspiring housemates should share their audition video on all of their social media accounts to make the submission official. The more the likes and shares, the better. They also need to tag all posts with the hashtag #PBBKumuaudition for all entries. Only one audition video is allowed per account, and for those who will pass the audition will receive a message from the PBB's official Kumu account.
The audition will start from October 19, 2020 until November 11, 2020.
