On May 30, Education Secretary Leonor Briones said on a public briefing of Laging Handa that the Department of Education (DepEd) anticipates face-to-face classes nationwide for the next academic school year.
Secretary Briones also cited that there are already 34,238 nominated schools as of May 26 to implement face-to-face classes. 33,064 of the total number are public schools, while 1,174 are private schools.
However, the evaluation of Department of Health, the Local Government Units, and situation of the area should still be considered before the school can be approved to hold a face-to-face classes.
