Theme: Grief, losing a loved one

From dust, you were made,

And dust you shall return.

I am at loss without your touch.

Those loving eyes, how beautiful they were.

Was it a mistake that you left?

God no!

Tragedies are reasons for me to stay

To see the ending of my mistakes.

Heaven forbid you’d come back to me

I loathe you;

Did you even try?

I am shattered that you left me here to die!

How could you quickly let go,

Of all the promises that were sworn.

Why do I keep missing—

For someone who’s nothing but thin air

A picture of a valley:

So bright, full of wonders—

Dear Mother,

You were the star; beamed in my despairs.
