Darling, how can you be as arcane as pure poetry?

You're limned with vague elegancy

I'm inclined to decipher for eternity.

I'm in search of words to write;

Everything in my mind doesn't seem right.

How can I exhibit this light?

Perhaps you can find a hint in my poetry.

I'm letting this piece be the ferry

To deliver you the emotions I've got out of sultry.

Sometimes, I wish I was your muse

Behind the pieces, you are proud to produce—

In that way, our souls as writers can interfuse.

I can't fathom the notion of confessing directly;

Admitting to you that I adore you so dearly!

I can just write you a letter expressing my love fearlessly.

Maybe to you, I'm just a scribbler.

But for you, I can be a gambler or a dealer—

A willing sucker for whichever you prefer.
