Dazed and perplexed,

Because of what you have done.

You had me spellbound,

And I was so tense.

 

The words caught in my throat,

Then there was the bolt from the blue,

Because you had the words,

That I was unable to divulge.

 

What exactly did you do?

To understand the puzzle pieces,

To locate the papers that I crumbled,

With my unsaid words written inside.

 

Do you have a sixth sense?

Have you looked into my eyes,

And saw the soul of an anxious child,

That weighed heavily on my heart.

 

To have someone know what was going on behind this facade,

Was all my numbing heart could ever want.

To be able to be read at a glance,

Was what had the potential to tear this veil.

 

Having someone like you,

That was what had destroyed my walls.

To make my submission—

And be wrapped in your warm comfort.
