Theme: Broken yearnings
I wish I knew―
How life would turn out to be.
Wished to grow up and flee;
Who knew? Time just flew.
In childhood, I drew
visions of myself as high as the skies.
Slowly, I grew;
The dreams crumbled― and myself― I despised.
Passions burnt to ashes;
Talents became rotted corpses;
Hopes passed by like flashes;
And I—left with bruises and scratches.
Oh, I wish I knew―
That life would be like this.
Say your farewells to the glimpses;
Was anything ever been true?
