6 groups from the Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) strand of Lyceum of Alabang presented their research papers in the Panpacific International Research Conference-High School Edition 2023 (PIRC-HS) that was held at Urdaneta, Pangasinan, on May 18 to 19, Thursday and Friday.
PIRC-HS 2023 had 3 categories in total: Colloquiums, Poster Innovations, and Oral Paper Presentations.
The titles that were selected to be presented for the Oral Paper Presentation were:
1. Stress Resilience and Job Performance of Barangay Health Workers in Muntinlupa City, Year 2023, by Noguit et al.
2. Hall of Learning: The Efficiency of Gallery Walk Technique in Teaching Prepositions to the Grade 4 Students of Bayanan Elementary School Unit 1 School Year 2022-2023 by Honrales et al.
3. The Implementation of Short Educational Videos about Philippine National Symbols to Grade 3 Students of Muntinlupa Elementary School, S.Y. 2022-2023 by Monreal et al.
4. I Was Looking for God, I Found Myself: Factors Contributing to Atheism, Agnosticism, and Non-Belief Year 2022-2023 by Sanchez et al.
5. Projection of the "Edi Wow" Culture: Anti-Intellectualism as a Contributing Factor to the Self-Esteem of Grade 12 Academic Achievers at Lyceum of Alabang, S.Y. 2022-2023 by Secapuri et al.
6. Exploring the Battleground: Influence of Exposure to Mobile Legends: Bang Bang to the Aggression of Players in the Academic Track at Lyceum of Alabang S.Y. 2022-2023 by Belarga et al.
Before being presented on stage, these titles underwent an evaluation as the papers' abstracts and manuscripts were submitted beforehand.
Atty. Lyca Balita was the speaker for the 1st day, tackling "Research in the Age of AI", and Dr. Mark Joseph Calano was the speaker for the 2nd day, with the theme "Sustainable Development Goals Integration in Research and Innovation".
Meanwhile, the panel evaluators for the Oral Paper Presentation consisted of Dr. Marlyn R. Quing, Dr. Virgo C. Lopez, Dr. Ma. Christina Robles, Dr. Johdel Cabaluna, Dr. Andrei Batalla, Mr. Ariel Leonin, and Mr. Marvin Srmonia.
This was the first time Panpacific University held a High School edition of its international conference.
