Lyceum of Alabang students from various senior high school strands attended the Phase 1 of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Training 2023 held last May 26, 2023 at Alabang Central Market; organized by the Youth Affairs and Sports Development Office (YASDO) of Muntinlupa City together with the trained officers of DRRM.
Abigail Alla from Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS), Dishae Argarin from General Academic Strand (GAS), Jean Avelina of Accountancy Business and Management (ABM), Zhyrus Pabustan of Home Economics (H.E), and Maverick Macalacad from Information and Communications Technology (ICT) represented the Lyceum of Alabang at the training. The representatives were accompanied by their Teacher Coordinator, Mr. Adrian A. Atar.
During the seminar, the participants were taught about different Basic first aid skills like doing a Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), Heimlich Maneuver, bandaging techniques, and more. Information about earthquakes and other disasters was also tackled. Meanwhile, the DRRM Training will continue to hold the Phase 2 of the training in October 2023.
