You had me walking on paper streets.
How can your soft words and sweet gaze,
Leave me flabbergasted as I melt away.
Life starting with you made my heart ablaze.
Your tender disposition when you’re with me;
Made a haven for all to see.
We became an icon with printed initials,
A keychain for a reminder we belong together.
Knocking at the door in my heart,
He pursues me into opening everything;
My routine, likes, and dislikes—
Everything about him makes me feel alive.
Ocean shores as I hear the waves gush,
Stood in front of me a man holding nothing.
His hand in his heart, surrendering everything;
For the cause of his happiness was to see me succeed.
The narrow road where I walked to my destiny,
I realized you were also there;
Walking with me— right beside me.
