'Twas the golden field—oh—so maroon;
Thine irises mirrored the quaint environs hue.
I was breathing thro' the heart of my fallen—
The lore I sought—suffocated the lineage;
Thy faith hath constituted the incarnation:
Thy soul corrupt—
My manifested means—
Thy trust collapsed—
Thee feel thereupon act—Thee feel thereupon act!

The ballad of those who yearned—
The weeping ballad of the heart thou turned.
The blind eye of those who cognized—
At thy fore—I kneel;
At thy mind—I worship.

'Mid the trenches long withstand:
'Twas our souls stood for honor—
What occurred—should be.
I offer my body for glory—
The wise is for thy harmony—
To sacrifice is for thee, my country.

Bow'd for the power; I seek not empathy—nor shame—
An oath we proclaim!
To heed for thy grow—To weep for all sorrow.
With clarity gifted by Divine;
My muse—the people—we shall not sigh—
Armored beneath the vision of the change we seek;
We hail—we live!
The hymn we sing—we hail—we live!
