Subject: First Love

Beneath pristine skies of a blue expanse,
I found a love, so sweet and so tender.
Over gentle waves and humming tempests,
I have found myself a sweet surrender.

Over the riffs and beyond the trenches,
I have sworn to a maiden so sublime.
Under the cliff and down under the isle,
I pledged earnestly in meter and rhyme.

Under the blistering scorch of the sun,
I find myself engulfed by the passion,
of a fair heart beating with mine as one,
In this haven of ours, in our bastion.

A glimpse of eternity in your eyes,
I wish to sink deeper, deeper down your-
Hazy pools that reflect the summer skies.
A glance cast at an unsullied mirror.

In midsummer's haze, in its short forever,
I have found myself a love I call mine,
Under the shadows and above the sand,
I have found myself in embrace of thine.
