Subject: Losing the love

Lingering through my mind, the remnants of our time

Forever ingrained, that, for a while, you were mine

Caught vulnerable, you swung my face on the door

But as payback, I only loved you more, and more

Let me prove you wrong; we were meant to be

Believe in us, and what we could still be

Trust me, loving you is my only intention

Even then, I'd adore you after our separation

A difficult task; to change our woeful state

But, it's not too late, I'll find us an open gate

Sifting through hallways, crossing paths like strangers

My poison, my antidote, my cruel, cruel savior

Assuring you, that, it was us through whatever

Yet, we never even made it past September

Countless stories I would've wanted you to hear

I wish, I just wish that you were still here

Despite its futility, I'll still be sending you letters

Showing you our vows of December

Weeks pass by and I hope you still know

That I never left, I'll keep loving you with all of my soul
