Lyceum of Alabang (LOA) established another resounding milestone as they celebrated and concluded its 20th Founding Anniversary under the theme, “Building a Legacy of Learning: Celebrating 20 Years of Education,” of the Junior High School (JHS) department, held at the Danilo V. Ayap (DVA) Gymnasium, on Friday, November 10.
The spotlight sparked on the outstanding winners among the JHS students that have brought glory to the event where the winners rightfully walked through the stage of the DVA Gymnasium during the awarding ceremony, which acknowledged different cultural and non-cultural competitions.
In the category of Basketball, AREIA (Ares-Gaia) clinched the championship against opposing teams; they were followed by ZEURIS (Zeus-Iris) who took second place, and third place from DEMEDITE (Demeter-Aphrodite).
The Most Valuable Player (MVP) was crowned to Gabe Kchristian Marmeto from AREIA; while the Mythical Five were handed to Kyle Angelo Santor (AREIA), Karlson Vergal De Dios (AREIA), Alfonso Raphael Vargas (ZEURIS), Charles Jasper Vicente (DEMEDITE), and Jade Esclamado (APOSTIA).
Furthermore, the team APOSTIA (Apollo-Hestia) claimed the champion’s title in the Volleyball category; AREIA ensued second place, and DEMEDITE pulled third place.
Justin Roy Alon from APOSTIA earned the MVP; meanwhile, the Mythical Six was acquired by Yael Gio Magnaye (APOSTIA), Natasha Martinez (APOSTIA), Aaliyah Alberta Bombase (AREIA), Eman Joshua Baccay (EROSEIDON), Daniela Mae Contapay (DEMEDITE), and Em Omalin (AREIA).
In the much-anticipated artistic competitions, the Logo, Poster, Slogan Making contest of the Junior High School held across every grade level, adding creative elegancy to the anniversary festivities.

In the HistoGeo (History-Geography) Quiz Bee, participants Arashel Mei Cinco (Grade 10 – Apollo), Alfonso Raphael Vargas (Grade 9 – Zeus), Zuriel Ombao (Grade 8 – Demeter), and Raveena Alexys Makalintal (Grade 7 – Iris), made it to the top and secured the championship; meanwhile, Kin Marcus Jardeleza (Grade 10 – Aphrodite), Jazz Kurt Viterbo (Grade 9 – Poseidon), Ernest Dave Arbollente (Grade 8 – Hestia), and Sixto Posadas (Grade 7 – Eros) took second place. Third place was seized by Clark Jared Mariano (Grade 10 – Aphrodite), Gabriel Chase Gonzales (Grade 9 – Poseidon), Eohan Matthew Ebora (Grade 8 – Hestia), and Chloie Jane Lomeda (Grade 7 – Eros).
Furthermore, John Alcent Bonoan (Grade 10 – Apollo), Stephen Allas (Grade 9 – Zeus), Jenna Bahia (Grade 8 – Hestia), and Kevin Christian Verso (Grade 7 – Gaia), prevailed and won the championship in the Bible Quiz Bee. Followed by Hayden Zachary Alcantara (Grade 10 – Aphrodite), Reign Christian Marasigan (Grade 9 – Poseidon), Rainiel John Eusebio (Grade 8 – Demeter), and Pauline Cayra Tan (Grade 7 – Iris), who retained the second place. Princess Uneek Albarico (Grade 10 – Aphrodite), Luke Andrew Pabustan (Grade 9 – Zeus), Alyssa Ashley Almoro (Grade 8 – Demeter), and Em Omalin (Grade 7 – Gaia), finished in third place.
In the SciMaCom (Science-Mathematics-Computer) Quiz Bee, Jermaine Tolentino (Grade 10 – Athena), Ericka Kirsten Millar (Grade 9 – Poseidon), Aiden De Guzman (Grade 8 – Hera), and Elijah Villaraza (Grade 7 – Iris), conquered the opposing teams, taking the champion’s title.
Ensued by Derick Dee (Grade 10 – Athena), Jemima Martha Seguerra (Grade 9 – Zeus), Ianmar Nathan Panopio (Grade 8 – Hera), and Princess Heart Amada (Grade 7 – Eros), who took the second place. Lastly, Ahmad Abd’ Allah Marribay (Grade 10 – Apollo), Paul Josef Sarate (Grade 9 – Ares), John Ellyx Arguel (Grade 8 – Hera), and Natalie Quinn Tapas (Grade 7 – Gaia) went to third place.
Moreover, in an energetic display of Palarong Pinoy, the Filipino Traditional Games, participants engaged in lively competitions including Patintero, Sack Race, Caterpillar, and One Foot Relay.
