Theme: The bittersweet nature of love
I told her, that, I'd love if we ran away,
Away from our problems until we decay.
It wasn't much of a reason to stay,
But, I'd let go of everything just to have you for one more day.
I wish, I wish that there was a way to replay—
Our timeless memories that stemmed from May.
Oh, to sit next to you in the tree where we lay,
No matter the price, I'd willingly pay—
By losing myself to make sure that you're okay.
Rest, dear, for I'll protect you from the fray—
That life throws at you, come what may.
And even if you hate me, never ever will I stray.
If there was anything I never would've wanted you to say,
Is that "I love you, but, please, go away."
