Theme: Remembering the life that was shed on the cross of Calvary.

The love behind sacrifices was proven a thousand years ago. A glimmer of hope in this seemingly hopeless world was given to us when God died on the cross of Calvary. On this day of memorial, we should not forget that before our loved ones passed away, someone already died for you and me.

While walking in the cemetery, I gazed upon the names written on tombstones. Truly, life is too short and there is no date as to when our time will come. I sat on the grass, pondering whether we need to remember the death of someone. Someone approached me, saying, “You should thank God for their lives. God entrusted their lives to us so that we can learn from their experiences. Perhaps we didn't witness their lives, but their existence is a blessing worth remembering.”

He willingly died on the cross of Calvary, even though we are sinners and unworthy. Can you imagine the depth of His love for us, leading to the ultimate sacrifice? In love, we're called to make sacrifices, as the marriage vow says, 'till death do us part.' I am incredibly grateful for God giving His life for us.

As people celebrate All Saints' Day, we should not forget that there is something worth remembering—there was life that was willingly given to save a soul from the abyss of the lake of fire. The blood shed on the cross of Calvary is worth remembering, as it symbolizes the strength that stems from genuine love. Before we love, we are already loved by God. We love him, because he first loved us.
