Various bonafide National Capital Region students, along
with the Lyceum of Alabang’s very own Science, Technology, Engineering and
Mathematics (STEM) strand students competed and led on the Muntinlupa Robotics
Fair and Exhibit from November 14 to 16 at the Colegio De Muntinlupa school
grounds.
Gathering on their skills and knowledge, Roxy Esmores, Heart
Magbanua and Zyd Earl Xavier Cabauatan took home the first place in the
Robotics Design Concept Competition, presenting their study named PatHMos:
IoT-supported Patient Health and Environment Monitoring System and defending
their advancement for the study’s purpose during the fair’s duration. The
successful presenters were supported by their visual arts team composed of Ma.
Luisa Cale, Anicah Antolin, Jasper Mondares and Shana Taberos.
Meanwhile, the ScienceQuest Quiz Show was competed by
Pretcel Ann Flores, Nicole Paula Dado and John Estella and pushed through the
fifth place in the competition during the second day of the event. Backed with
the support of their coach and assistant coach, Mr. Joshua CariΓ±o and Ms.
Frencee Anne Rivera guided the STEM representatives who competed for the fair
and exhibit.
Drone shows, seminars and workshops were also held during
the event’s period, where various science discussions, innovations and
activities were participated by the events visitors and judges. As they marked
the three-day event, the awarding and closing ceremony was held together by a
visit from Muntinlupa City’s Mayor, Ruffy Biazon, and Congressman Jaime
Fresnedi.
