Theme: Dreaming of love one knows you can't achieve

I'm sure, I think I’ve seen this in a dream—

These same greens, I don’t believe I have told you.

Leaves falling and your waving, swaying dance through these harsh, and windy days.

Can’t you see I’ve simply become so enamoured?

The days often start with a cry and a whim

of something dull and absolutely nothing new.

But that dream, I know you asked me

for just four hours of my time, just those few, begging me to say—

“Can’t believe it, how I know I’ve loved you for so long.”

You don’t know a part of me, that beyond rounded rims.

I've imagined you saying you truly loved me too.

I’ve imagined the want in our dreams for our

dynamic to stay the same. Static, dull and mundane.

Can’t. Still can’t. Beyond dreams, I can't be the one you smile for.

Can’t ever be the one you want more, I just know.

Can’t receive the ticket to hear your confession song.

Can’t feel my dream, yet under the trees I’m still enamoured.
