Genre: Poetry

Theme: Unexpected farewells and acceptance

As the year drew its curtain,

your unexpected departure left hearts longing—

tears flowed, emotions ran deep,

why did fate decide to do such a solemn reap?

No words of negativity, just love's warm embrace,

memories cherished, no hint of disgrace or resentment.

Your absence, a void, stark and bleak,

yet you departed to a melody, a love-filled song.

A swell of sorrow, heavy and tense,

settled in, stripping joy of all pretense and sense—

but clarity dawned, casting a guiding light,

knowing you're reunited where memories grow with passed away loved ones.

We didn't celebrate, nor did we despair,

for your very essence of love and words lingers in our very souls and memories.

This isn't goodbye, but a heartfelt decree,

a whispered promise, "till we meet again," the days will go on—even without you by our side.
