Subject: Rain, fondness of the rain

To this day, he yearns for when he'll sit against the wall–

The cold creeping through, wrapping him in the warmth of a shawl.

The stage then darkened, the clouds soon turned gloomy,

The show began in sprinkles of melody.

A shower of rain danced against the still air—

On the ground, a song started midair,

A drizzle of rain from once it began—

Captured his breath, leaving him in a trance.

He watched as the rain pour down from the skies;

A story he saw unfold before his eyes,

The soil turned muddy, the pests they seek shelter—

Birds huddled close, bugs begin to clutter.

Yet he didn't feel like crouching in a corner,

Nor feel like his head is stuck in a blur,

For whenever it rains he feels at peace—

There finding solace, enjoying the breeze.

Estatic to be lost amidst the rain;

Forgetting the things that drove him insane.

The sudden comforts he felt at a whim—

There he knew the rain was one with him.
