Subject: Rise by self-improvement

In virtue and might

I strive with will

Thou not fret — with it instills

The passion I have

With fiery conundrums

To reach for the top — even so agonizing

My mind is in havoc at the wait

Till the dawn breaks as it would

Alas, the leaderboard is revealed

I am shunned — to see the product

I'm at the bottom

My peers at the top

Can they hear me?

Seems like it is not

For I dread in the embrace

Of impending pressure

Tread as I do

But every time — causes me an error

Study and passion

Hard work, I fashion

That I did do

But to what is the consequence?!

In which I realize

Competition is but an illusion

Improving is to challenge oneself —

Naught will it be envying others' greatness

And only be there as a mere witness

For journey will I, to see what is foretold

Though I may not reach the top,

Bottom is where my might beholds

Tread will I do

And action shall I seek

A journey to venture on,

To find the feeling of holding on

Scores will not hold me back

For to seek thy self,

That — I will track
