Theme: A father's betrayal to his daughter

My father was once a good man.
He was the first person,
Who taught me to loved, and be loved.
And he was also the first man—
Who taught me grudges can be held in hands first before it can be felt in our soul.

He built a cage, and he calls it home.
He had childrens, three were living,
The eldest as their decorations, the pride.
And the second daughter, the rebel.
He was the reason, I am scarred and scared,
that every affections comes with a price.
So, I ward off everything and everyone.

It was my seventh birthday,
That i thanked god for giving me a life.
And it was my thirteenth birthday;
That I was filled with agony and despair.
It was also the first time, and the start of my everyday' prayer, to hope that I vanish.

"Why do you hate me so much? I am your father."

"Why are you destroying me, I am your daughter."

I was raised with cold eyes, who taught me to survive while being the perfect example of warm and chaos.
And on my eighteenth birthday my father whispered,
"I hate you so much that I hope you didn't exist."
And I smiled, not because I was happy.
But because finally we have felt something in common, and it was painful yet relieving.
