Tiny Elephants’ long wait ended as pop superstar Ariana Grande finally put out her much-anticipated seventh studio album "eternal sunshine" on March 8, across all digital streaming platforms.

This newly released album, co-produced by the singer/songwriter Grande herself, features 13 sure-hit tracks, namely “intro (end of the world)”, “bye”, “don’t wanna break up again”, “Saturn Returns Interlude”, “eternal sunshine”, “supernatural”, “true story”, “the boy is mine”, “yes, and?”, “we can’t be friends (wait for your love)”, “i wish i hated you”, “imperfect for you”, and “ordinary things (feat. Nonna)".

In the album, Grande took inspiration from a favorite 2004 Romance/Sci-fi movie of hers titled “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”, which starred her long-time childhood idol Jim Carrey as the lead character.

“I think that’s why the film is so beloved is because so many people can relate to it, and I think it kind of fell into place that these songs had little tidbits of that theme,” Grande shared in a talk with Zane Lowe.

“I’m a massive Jim Carrey fan,” she subsequently added. “I don’t know if you know this, but my first screen name was JimCarreyFan42.”

This isn’t the first time that the pop superstar has taken inspiration from a movie, as she also did it with the movies “Mean Girls”, “Bring it On”, “Legally Blonde”, and “13 Going On 30” in her lead single and album title “thank u, next” back in 2019.

Moreover, Grande also revealed that the process of making the album reached a shocking timeframe of more than 3 months.

“It was fast, but it wasn’t too fast. I think it was like three and a half months,” she said.

Before “Eternal Sunshine”, Grande had been on a break from releasing an album for 3 years, since the release of “Positions” in October 2020.
