Theme: Knowing that you won't get some of the things that you really want

There's this guy

That I really admire.

That when I just look into his eyes,

It instantly gives me butterflies.

The first time I saw him, I was stunned.

That it seems like everyone in the room was gone.

Thinking that he might be the one for me,

Someone who can make me happy that I can't imagine what I can be.

Having a small talk

To a person with that kind of look,

Makes me imagine that he's like the one in those fairy books.

For me to create a happily ever after look.

Maybe I didn't verbally say I like you.

But you know that I said you don't need to like me too.

Let's just move on and maybe still be friends,

And let me silently admire and cherish you.

But just like the moon,

As everyone said, I could only admire you from afar.

Watching you day and night,

Shining there beautifully and bright.

But I realized,

That he may be just a temporary happiness.

And soon enough I'll be in pain seeing him patiently sitting on a couch,

Just waiting for a "hi" from who he considers his one and only future spouse.

Maybe at some point, I said-

"He won't be fine" in a role that I'm about to assign,

Or maybe he'll be perfectly fine-

In another storyline.
