American multinational corporation Apple Inc. finally advertised the debut of their iPhone 16 on Monday, September 9. The phone model was launched on the said date during Appleʼs Glowtime Keynote 2024 at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California.

Together with the basic model, Apple additionally introduced iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. These models included better and larger features than the basic model of iPhone 16.

The availability of pre-orders started on September 13, Friday, and will be purchasable on physical stores by September 20. iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will be available in five striking colors: white, black, teal, pink, and ultramarine blue.

Meanwhile, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will come in four elegant textures and shades of titanium: natural titanium, black titanium, white titanium, and desert titanium. 

With no confirmation of the exact release of iPhone 16 in the Philippines, the local prices of all models were revealed with an astounding range of ₱54,990 to ₱108,990.

The announcement of iPhone 16 described its features with a more competent and heavy-duty A18 chip while settling with the same screen size from the recent models, upgrading its ultrawide cameras, and starting Appleʼs initiation on their own AI.

Moreover, iPhone 16 now has 8GB RAM, compared to iPhone 15 with only 6GB RAM. This was along with the same storage sizes ranging from 128GB to 1TB, depending on the iPhone 16 model.
