Theme: One-sided love and slowly losing hope

Under the quiet night where shadows dance and play,

It feels like I'm losing hope, wanting to run away.

Stars above, a fading ray.

Mocking my tears, it's like telling me to go away.

People come and people go.

I'm left alone, woe's heavy toll.

Drapes closed, lights turned low.

On empty nights, I know—I am made to know.

That he, like autumn leaves have fled,

And with him, joy, love, and hope are dead.

Wind whispering secrets in my ear,

Sigh that echoes, void of cheer.

I still continue to cling to what remains of me.

A glimmer of faith in what he shared with me.
