Subject: Lost Innocence
The children ran through the woods, chasing the fading sunlight, until they came upon a figure lying still by the creek.
"Who is that?" someone asked, curiosity laced with unease.
They stepped closer, and the world seemed to stop. The face—they knew it. The clothes, the same as theirs.
"No... it can't be," one of them whispered, voice cracking.
They looked down at their own hands, scared, trembling, but they weren't solid anymore. Panic turned to grief as they stared at their lifeless bodies, lying cold on the ground.
"Are we… dead?" someone asked, tears falling.
The silence answered, "Yes"
