Theme: Coming out isn't something we owe to the world.

"How do you come out?"
The question they asked me a million times.
Answering those questions is pretty easy;
there is no drama, no saying sorry,
and no tear-jerker story.

In a world of Barbie dreams, I find my own sway,
It’s simple for me, living my truth every day.
I never said I was a mermaid,
or a snail in the sea, waiting to be free.
I just have a heart beating for Ken, and I'm doing it well.

But for those who are in the closet that is so tight,
no need for a grand confession,
Just soft petals unfolding, slow.
You don’t have to do a dramatic reveal,
or wait for the perfect timing.

Just embrace the journey,
and remember, you’re not alone.
Let's celebrate the authentic self,
we've known.
