Subject: Absence of an important figure

You're a phantom,

Only a non-existent entity,

Lurking, always seeking redemption

For the sin where your selfish temptation came to be.

Kept alive by endless regrets,

Yet with no memories to keep,

Your presence clings to its weightless identity—

A spineless silhouette.

But how could your absence be so resonant?

Resentfully, I questioned,

As my frustrations turned malevolent,

Haunted by the violence of your damned name.

The figure that should’ve been left behind—

Is the ghost of its lone child,

Now blindingly chased by his own seed of lust,

A burden from which my father hides.
